It is probably due to my Swedish heritage and the lack of sunlight from childhood, but I am also convinced it is from my way of life. However, I am not a health guru; I try to live balanced. I sometimes consume tobacco, and I love coffee and a glass of wine. But it needs to be balanced. Here’s a glimpse into my personal health practices that have sustained my vitality and youthfulness:
- Food and Drinks, Water, and Supplements: Striking a balance works wonders. I relish an array of foods, including organic choices, while occasionally indulging in treats. Scaling back on sugar, alcohol, and processed foods is pivotal for energy stability, mental clarity, and immune robustness. Hydration through filtered water is indispensable for digestion, toxin elimination, and overall bodily functions. Replenishing your body’s hydration enhances skin health, cognitive function, and energy levels.
- Exercise: Movement and Fearlessness: Movement holds the key. Beyond physical health, exercise grants us the power to live without fear, allowing us to breathe deeply. When we are fearful, our breath becomes shallow, contributing to acidity and toxicity. Engaging in various activities, from dancing to yoga, swimming, and more, fortifies muscles and bones, uplifts mood, nurtures cardiovascular health, and bolsters metabolism. It’s a lifelong investment in well-being and liberation from fear.
- Meditation and Mindfulness: Bestowing stillness upon yourself is invaluable. Engaging in mindfulness practices, particularly meditation, anchors me amidst life’s tumult. Meditation reduces stress, enhances focus, and cultivates emotional equilibrium, fostering an inner sanctuary of tranquility. I recommend 20 min of meditation or contemplation each day.
- Minimize Screen Time and Connect with Nature: Step away from screens and indoor confines. Venture into nature, bask in its rejuvenating embrace, and embark on grounding practices like walking barefoot on natural surfaces. These simple acts connect you with Earth’s energy, invigorating your spirit and alleviating stress.
- Beauty Routines: Self-care penetrates deeper than skin. Embrace practices like dry brushing or fascia-release massage to enhance blood circulation, stimulate lymphatic drainage, and nurture vibrant, glowing skin.
- Reducing Toxicity: Scrutinize your daily product choices. Gradually substitute harsh household cleaners with natural alternatives to reduce toxins, allowing your body to function optimally. Consider purifying your surroundings by smudging with sage or palo santo to cleanse the energy.
- Declutter Your Life: Reflect on possessions, behaviors, and relationships. Do they contribute to your well-being and happiness? Shed light on negative patterns and embrace positivity.
- Holistic Healing: Explore holistic therapies like QM therapy, offering insights into your body’s distinct needs. Complement conventional care with alternative approaches such as acupuncture, herbs, essential oils, and sound therapy. A harmonious union of body, mind and soul leads to transformative healing.
